The question you don't address in your post is: What do you want to do about it? Once software patents are issued, is there any way to stop people from actually using their rights? I might also mention that "stress tests" now are also done for nuclear power plants, to which my interest has shifted lately. You probably don't want a public perception of the patent system equal to that of nuclear energy in Germany. The question you don’t address in your post is: What do you want to do about it? Once software patents are issued, is there any way to stop people from actually using their rights?
